What is Dino 3D?
Dino 3D is the famous Chrome Dinosaur Game turned around: instead of watching the T-Rex from the side, you see the desert through its eyes. The ground streams toward you, cacti grow out of the horizon and pterodactyls fly straight at your head.
It keeps everything that makes the original fun: one hit ends the run, the speed keeps rising, and every hundred points the score blinks. It adds one thing the side view cannot have, three lanes, so you can step around trouble instead of only jumping over it.
What is different from the classic game
- First-person view. You are the T-Rex: the view bounces with every step and sways from foot to foot as it runs.
- Three lanes. Step left or right to dodge a cactus, or stay in your lane and jump it.
- Real depth. Obstacles appear small on the horizon and grow as they come closer, so you have to judge the distance.
- Night falls. As in the original, the desert turns to night every few hundred points, with the moon and stars.
- Same pixel style. The game is drawn with the original sprites and colours of the Chrome dino.
Tips for a high score
- 01
Look far ahead
Watch the horizon, not the ground in front of you. The earlier you see a group of cacti, the more time you have to pick a lane.
- 02
Prefer a lane change
Stepping aside is safer than jumping: a jump has a fixed length, and at high speed a long group of cacti can catch you on the way down.
- 03
Duck early
Pterodactyls fly at head height. Hold duck a moment before they reach you and release it once they have passed.
- 04
Come back to the middle
From the middle lane both sides are one step away. From an outer lane you only have one way out.
