Dino Game Hacks and Cheats

Want to see what happens at 10,000 points or run straight through the cacti? With a few lines of code in the Chrome console you can change the rules of the T-Rex game.

Before you start

These commands are written for the original game at chrome://dino in Google Chrome on a computer. They only change the copy of the game in your own tab: nothing is sent anywhere, and reloading the page brings everything back to normal.

Only paste code that you understand and that comes from a source you trust. Google sometimes changes the game, so a command may stop working in a future version of Chrome.

How to open the console

Open the game
Type chrome://dino in the Chrome address bar and press Enter.

Open the developer tools
Press F12 or Ctrl+Shift+J on Windows, Linux and ChromeOS, or Cmd+Option+J on a Mac, and choose the Console tab.

Allow pasting
The first time, Chrome may ask you to type a short phrase, such as «allow pasting», before it lets you paste code. This protects you from scams.

Paste a command
Paste one of the commands below and press Enter. Then click on the game and press Space.

Console commands

Invincibility

The dinosaur runs through every obstacle and the game never ends.

Turn invincibility off

Brings back the normal game over. Use it in the same tab after the previous command.

Change the speed

The normal maximum is 13. Try 30 or more for a wild ride, or 6 to go back to the starting speed.

Runner.instance_.setSpeed(30);

Jump higher

The normal value is about 10. Larger numbers make the dinosaur jump higher.

Runner.instance_.tRex.setJumpVelocity(20);

Set your score

Replace 12345 with any number. The score jumps to it as soon as the dinosaur moves.

Runner.instance_.distanceRan = 12345 / Runner.instance_.distanceMeter.config.COEFFICIENT;

To undo all changes at once, simply reload the page.

Hidden secrets and Easter eggs

chrome://dino. Opens the game in Chrome at any time, even when you are online.
chrome://network-error/-106. Shows the real «No internet» page with the dinosaur, ready to play.
Night mode. Every 700 points the world turns dark and the moon and stars appear.
Long and short jumps. How long you hold the key decides how high the T-Rex jumps.
Fast fall. The down arrow in the air brings the dinosaur down almost at once.
The birthday hat. For Chrome's 10th birthday in 2018 the dinosaur wore a party hat and collected cakes.
Project Bolan. The game's code name, after Marc Bolan of the band T. Rex.

Questions about dino hacks

Are these cheats safe?

Yes, the commands on this page only change the game in your current tab and disappear when you reload it. Never paste code from unknown sources into the console of a site where you are logged in.

Do the commands work on a phone?

Usually not. Mobile browsers do not have a developer console, so the commands are meant for Chrome on a computer.

Why does a command not work?

Make sure you are on chrome://dino and that you pasted the whole line. If Chrome has updated the game, the names inside the code may have changed.

Do the commands work on dinosaur.game?

They are made for chrome://dino. Our version is packed differently, so here you play the honest way.
